Accounting Manager – Costing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Evaluate, enhance and automate key analytic capabilities across departments utilizing ERP system to generate and impact decisions to maximize value add to the organization. • Complete and assist in the development and modification of data projects and analysis to ensure optimization of reporting. • Create and setup items within enterprise resource management (ERP) system. • Establish and implement processes utilizing ERP system to collect and analyze data, including know-how of related processes, for various areas of company’s costs, including but not limited to Work-in-Progress (WIP), Finished Goods (FG), including bill of material (BOM), understanding of activity price (overhead allocation), and any other item related to production cost. • Ability to translate technology functionality into process improvements. • Ability to translate process requirements into technology functionality within ERP system. • Collaboration with other manufacturing teams in understanding of overhead allocation (routes) in determination for the activity price. • Plays key role in driving change across organization in utilization of ERP system. • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. • Specifying obstacles and ways to overcome them. • Interact with all relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely updates related to product changes. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating with different departments and sharing best practices. • Prepare various weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly reports and analytics for management such as gross profit analysis, labor performance, inventory analysis, and other reports as requested. • Perform customer and/or product profitability evaluations as needed/requested. • Complete and assist in month-end closing via account analysis, journal entries, recording/uploading monthly results and other month end tasks as assigned. • Perform monthly analysis for cost variances between STD vs. ACT to have a minimal variance. • Preparing costing audit reports and presenting their findings to respective management. • Support monthly FS preparation, including month-end processes & preparation of results.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • BS or equivalent degree • 3-5 years of progressive costing and accounting experience in a manufacturing environment • Knowledge of GAAP and other industry standards relating to accounting policies and procedures. • Able to use computers at a high level with capability in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), email (Outlook), and spreadsheet creation and modification. • Advanced ERP knowledge; Plex strongly preferred. • Able to effectively communicate with professionalism and clarity. • Influence and leadership skills/abilities. • Must have strong problem-solving skills. • Must have excellent analytical ability and critical thinking skills coupled with integrity, and the ability to find simple, practical solutions to complex problems. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, internal clients, and other stakeholders. • Must be a self-motivated and able to perform accurately in a fast-paced environment. • Great attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Strong organization and time management skills. • Able to multi-task and prioritize items is essential for this position. • Must be able to work well in a consensus decision making environment.

TRAVEL:  Visits to all three (3) plant locations required (Day trips).
