Associate Product Manager

We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager who is passionate about solving complex problems and translating solutions into delightful experiences for users. We create thousands of math problems for students every year, each of which must be thoughtfully written by our Content Authors, utilizing digital manipulatives with precise feedback for kids at each step of the way, and then uploaded to the platform using our content management system. As a member of our product team, you’ll work collaboratively to define and prioritize new features to support both K-8 student-facing math manipulatives and the team in sustainable content creation. You will lead projects to identify new content needs, communicate and validate product requirements across the team, and manage the end-to-end development process for new features and improvements to our digital experience.

What This Role Will Do:  Partner with product leaders, engineers, designers, and educators to define, prioritize, and deliver a high-quality digital experience for students.  Manage the end-to-end product development process for multiple projects in parallel to improve digital manipulative interactions and to support the content creation process. Deeply understand content creation process, including the instructional goals for each digital manipulative and its use cases in-app. Translate content needs into detailed product requirements, specifications, and timelines. Partner with the design team to develop wireframes and visual layouts.  Partner with the engineering team to plan and sequence development.  Ensure features are delivered on time and function as desired.  Communicate new features and gather feedback internally and externally.  Develop and maintain expertise in K-8 Math, including a deep knowledge of all manipulatives and how content is created in our CMS.

What You’ll Bring To The Role:  BA or BS with 2-3 years of related experience (product, project management, consulting, education tech, or similar discipline).  Ability to take ownership of projects from planning through execution.  Ability to multitask and prioritize to manage multiple projects on tight timelines.  A desire to collaborate and a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.  Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills.  UX sensibility to create excellent experiences for users.  Excitement to understand and learn an existing and complex system.  A love of learning, and a love of math.  A desire to join an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment at a high-growth organization.  A commitment to our mission of providing an exceptional education to all children.  The willingness to comply with our vaccination (subject to legally valid exemptions) and Personal Protective Equipment policies.
