Billing and Collections Assistant
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
Summary: The Billing and Collections Assistant will support collections/accounts receivable activities and ensure accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components.
Responsibilities: • Utilize in-house accounts receivable program (“ARCS”) for collection activities. Monitor system activities and resolve system problems as needed. • Field incoming calls from clients regarding billing or payment issues. • Create statements of account to help pinpoint any account issues. • Pull any documentation which will help resolve the matter. • Review and identify aged receivable balances. • Contact client contacts and address outstanding amounts. • Negotiate a compromised payment and, if needed, coordinate collection assistance with third party affiliates. • Utilize Elite billing system to create invoices/reports. • Other duties as may be assigned to meet business needs.
Experience & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accounting experience. • Proficient in Excel and Elite Financial System. • Analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Good with basic math. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written. • Ability to work and interact with all practice groups throughout the Firm. • Able to work in team environment.

Computer Skills: • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, and financial software.
