Job Type: Contract to Hire
The Business Analyst utilizes expertise of project and IT service management lifecycles to define stakeholders’ needs, analyze technical and non-technical business processes, and translate them into service and operational agreements. Remote opportunity – This is a full-time remote (work from home) position. Occasional travel to our Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA throughout the year will be required.
Responsibilities: • Meets with stakeholders and determines – Needs / Scope / Gaps / High-level, business, and functional requirements • Gathers data and evaluates true business needs – Interviews / Observation / Immersion / Prototypes / Process mapping / Workflow analysis • Organizes data so technical and non-technical sources can develop new solutions or processes – Wireframes / Sitemaps / Data and content models / Gap analysis / Impact analysis / Timelines • Coordinates relationships and communications among Project Management Office, other departments, vendors, and consultants • Assists product owner and/or project sponsor – Plans and prioritizes backlog / Writes user and grooming stories / Assists developing / Usability / Performance / Timelines / Contracts / Resources / Milestones / Hardware/software architecture and technical resources • Assists stakeholders post-implementation – Resolve incidents, problems, and change requests per Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements / Communicates technical resources and stakeholders’ changes • Maintains documents (e.g. end-user manuals, change logs) and contributes to our Best Practices for core business applications • Develops, executes, validates, and remediates QA and testing plans in collaboration with our staff and vendors • Assists data analysis needs for various areas of our company – Developing dashboards and other tools for stakeholders / Developing and managing our data governance • Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree required; 2-4 of business analysis-related experience required.
