Business Systems Manager

The Business Systems Manager leads systems transformation and day to day systems services for PLC IT. This role reports to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible to create, lead and execute IT and process improvement transformation in partnership with a range of stakeholders of the Business Systems team.

Key Responsibilities: • Support the CIO in the development and implementation of IT systems strategy and associated processes. • Implement the CIO strategy to deliver outcomes aligned to established transformation goals and objectives, such as ERP, AI or Cloud-based services. • Ensure systems data is managed in accordance with relevant Data Protection legislation and able to enable Business Intelligence. • Collaborating with various teams to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective solutions. • Defining and implementing IT policies, procedures and best practices. • Lead or take part in IT project management and business change, managing stakeholder relationships, communications and project delivery across a matrix organisation. o Track project and programmes and make interventions as necessary. o Ensure effective resource planning of the business systems team. • Taking a proactive role in developing robust data systems. • Develop governance and assurance structures to ensure projects and programmes are delivered on time, to budget and that any risks are highlighted early and managed. • Work closely with a team of Developers, providing supervision and support as required, including defining and running objectives, performance reviews, ensuring deadlines and service standards are achieved and maintained.

Specific Skills: • Have strong understanding of business processes across functions such as finance, supply chain, and manufacturing in relation to ERP systems, including but not limited to Dynamics NAV. • Directing ERP implementation and evolution aligned with strategic goals and objectives. • Plan for Disaster Recovery and create contingency plans to support the continued operations of the organisation. • Comply with Group change control procedures and ensure change requests are documented, tracked and business objectives are met. • Ensuring third party contract management, KPI’s and regular reporting are in place. • Regularly reviewing the team structure and resourcing levels, creating and developing a pipeline of talent. • Ensuring technical knowledge and systems awareness are up-to-date and support the ongoing development of the Business Systems team. • Managing vendors and operating ITIL practices. • People management skills to the level of a multi-country team manager.

This will require travel to sites across U.S, U.K, Europe and Asia.
