Chief Technology Officer

The Chief Technology Officer will provide guidance and support in the operations, hiring, and technical direction of the Technology Department, and position the technology group to meet the demand of increased eCommerce volume, achieving a SaaS Platform for our card-to-card gifting technology, and operating our in-house card fulfillment system.
Responsibilities: • Report to the CEO. • Work with VP-level leaders to define and oversee the SDLC. • Lead and organize the Managers, Directors, and VPs of the DevOps team, QA, Software Development, and technology depart. • Participate in the hiring process for Software Developers, QA, ITOps, and managers within the technology group. You will be the hiring manager for some of these positions. • Prescribe and monitor performance metrics for teams and individuals in the technology group. • Lead special, cross-team projects. Recent real examples include; • Standardizing application logging across teams • Non-production environment standardization (collaborating with dev managers and DevOps • Determine Application Performance Monitoring • Coordinate with Product Owners and other stakeholders on policy.

Some of them are: JIRA, BitBucket, Kanban, PHP/Symfony, React, NextJS, XRay, LinearB, DataDog, DataDome, Vercel, Kubernetes, AWS, Notion, and more. Qualifications: • You have been a CTO in your current or last position for at least 5 years. • You have led technology teams of over 50 employees. • You’ve led hiring initiatives for developers and other IT staff, considering team needs and make-up, as well as candidate evaluation. • You have great organizational skills. • You are a level 5 leader, who can inspire, organize, and set a clear direction. • You have experience with eCommerce and/or with a SaaS Platform environment.
