Cloud Architect

Cloud Architect to support of client’s Cloud Operations and Migration Services (COMS) capability to provide operational input and support for the operations, maintenance, and refinement of the Enterprise Cloud environment, execution support for migrating new and legacy applications and services to cloud computing and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure. The candidate will support our clients in their cloud operations to enhance, optimize, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape. This includes interviewing clients to understand application and infrastructure current state. Leading client working sessions to identify, categorize, prioritize and analyze data and information to work into cloud migration action plans. Working with the larger project teams to migrate legacy applications to their cloud platform. The Cloud Architect must have expertise with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) including Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).


  • Provide operations and migration services that enable the clientto tailor the availability and delivery of cloud computing services based on business and technical requirements.
  • Utilize the future Enterprise Cloud Operational Tools (ECOT), CSP native portals and tools, and/or other Client Approved-approved tools necessary to provide operations and migration support
  • Provide inputs to the Technical Operating Model, which includes operating processes and procedures, and which has the goal of continuously improving the cloud program, technical, and operational framework required to effectively and efficiently deliver and manage cloud computing capabilities.
  • Utilize automation tool such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Upgrade, install, configure monitoring solution for AWS for Windows and Linux servers.
  • Maintain gold images.
  • Maintain cloud network configurations
  • Responsible for reporting on current infrastructure status, and planning for future usage.
  • Automate the management and enforcement of policies.
  • Responsible for reporting on current infrastructure status, and planning for future usage.
  • Advise on cost efficiency for future usage and cost optimization for current infrastructure.

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent (10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • A minimum of 4 years of cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure
  • Extensive experience in implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment
  • Experience writing technical documentation, especially in relation to Cloud architecture
  • Significant hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Able to pass a background check to obtain a Public Trust (High-Risk) Position
  • Experience with network and/or systems administration in Linux/Unix and/or Windows environments
  • U.S. Citizenship
