DevSecOps Engineer

Seeking a Development/Security/Operations Engineer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, secure deployment and operation of our cloud infrastructure. As a team member, you will be tasked with understanding, deploying and maintaining infrastructure supporting our corporate environment and our SaaS application. You will be responsible for diagnosing any issues within the Ecosystem in coordination with stakeholders, engineers, and other departments. In addition, you will be a primary point of contact for stakeholders who have service requests and technical problems with all aspects of the SDLC, procurement, security and infrastructure process. There are three specific levels for this role as outlined below based upon experience and overall subject knowledge.

Responsibilities: Daily activities will include but not necessarily be limited to: • Work with the team to produce secure provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of version control systems, build tools and continuous integration tools • Implement and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and procurement pipelines using the latest web technologies under the guidance of DevOps Leads • Working with application teams to maintain, secure, improve, and document our development, testing, staging, and production environments • Creating and maintaining scripts and templates necessary for the consistent creation of secure resources • Provide support and advice for configuration changes to existing infrastructure • Working with the leads to diagnosing and solving environment-specific and cloud related bugs • Monitoring and responding to incidents impacting the production application • Developing automation solutions for ‘self-healing’ resources in these environments • Testing and evaluating new technologies • Promoting self-servicing & shift left process and procedures throughout the application life cycle.

Required Qualifications: • 0-2+ years of professional software development experience • Expert knowledge of GIT and standard SDLC practices • Work well independently and within a team environment • Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively, with excellent documentation skills • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Hands-on project management experience is preferred • Some experience working a cloud ecosystem (preferably Microsoft Azure or AWS) • Infrastructure as code experience (preferably terraform) • Some Kubernetes or docker experience • CI/CD build tooling (preferably Jenkins) is preferred • Database infrastructure management (preferably SQL Server) is preferred Other Preferred Qualifications (All Levels): • Ideal candidates will be familiar with the following subjects/technology: o Agile Methodology o Groovy o Jenkins o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) o Azure Managed SQL Servers o Azure Kubernetes Services o Azure Storage accounts and Azure Permissions o Azure B2C o Azure Networking and routing concepts o Git repositories and version controls o Resource backups, restores, and monitoring o Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) o Security Certifications o Disaster recovery implementation o Identifying problems stemming from code vs infrastructure • An understanding of the following is advantageous: o C#.NET / Java o JavaScript & the Angular JavaScript Framework

Work Environment: • This job operates in a professional office environment and teleworking from the employee’s home address listed in their employment file. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. When telecommuting employees must have reliable internet access in order to access required systems and software associated with the position’s responsibilities. The amount of time the employee is expected to work per day or pay period will not change as a result of participation in the teleworking program. Employees are responsible for the set-up of their home office environment, including physical set-up, internet connection, phone line, electricity, good lighting, comfortable temperature, furniture, etc. Employee’s teleworking space should be separate and distinct from their “home space” and allow for privacy. We expect employees teleworking to be as efficient and professional as if they were in the office. The amount of time spent in office or teleworking is contingent upon the needs/priorities of the company and will vary based on those needs/priorities.
