This position will be accountable for managing Accounting, Financial and Management Reporting Functions. This position requires an individual with strong business, financial and accounting skills, business acumen, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to partner successfully with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities: • Company currently using Northstar Accounting but will be moving to Club Automation Accounting • Responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and controlling the organization’s accounting and financial records. • Create and oversee financial reporting, financial modeling, and forecast/budgeting reporting with clear communication of trends and results to leadership and individual budget owners. • Ensure proper GAAP treatment of all transactions. • Assist Accounting Team in all aspects of financial and management reporting, consolidated financial statements and government reporting. • Monitor and analyze financial results, business metrics, and KPIs by evaluating the performance and adherence against company targets, identifying the nature of variances and reporting insightful and actionable data to senior leadership • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable/ Credit Control functions • Manage, mentor, lead, and develop an established and growing accounting team. • Ensure timely and accurate month end close, review, and preparation of reconciliations, journal entries, maintain General and Subsidiary ledgers. • Develop and maintain effective accounting policies and procedures. • Evaluate and monitor internal controls to ensure integrity of financial reporting. • Calculation of management fees, preferred returns and waterfalls. • Research and implement accounting standards and prepare memos when required. • Work with bankers, lenders, investors, auditors/accountants, and tax advisors. • Develop accounting and financial acumen amongst management throughout the organization. • Assist process owners to assess and identify controls needed for new processes and opportunities for operating efficiencies, including the organization’s digital transformation efforts and SaaS implementation. • Assist in training teammates on financial controls and process improvements. • Assist management with special projects and process improvement as needed. • Maintain accounting system, revenue recognition, and general ledger. • Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports for management and investors. • External reporting including providing quarterly reporting to lenders, including debt compliance. • Research certain technical accounting matters and prepare recommendations with respect to accounting treatment and the related journal entries. • Provide analysis & recommendations to the executive leadership team to guide business decisions and strategy. • Ensure appropriate control environment through review of control activities; identify and concentrate on improvement opportunities in key, high-risk areas. • Work in partnership with key stakeholders and internal teams to determine and implement best practices across the organization. • Apply controllership input and ensure appropriate rigor for simplification and systems projects in the businesses.
