Director of Network Security & Compliance

SUMMARY: This position has two major responsibilities within the organization. The first being to design, support, implement, and manage the health systems network infrastructure, including firewalls. Secondly, but just as important, is to monitor, recommend, implement, and support IT security strategies and solutions. This includes IT policy and procedure compliance. Tertiary duties include but not limited to: budgeting, cost containment, policy and procedure development, and strategic planning.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Associate Degree in information technology field required. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing enterprise networks and firewalls. • Familiarity with routing protocols such as RIP, IGRP, OSPF, and BGP. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing firewalls.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Duties the employee performs that although important do not have as major an impact on the delivery of services to our clientele: • Acting as a positive role model for the clients and other employees. • Following through on directives given by a supervisor or other designated team leaders within the agency. • Interacting with clients and families in a courtesy and professional manner. • Keeping communication open between all levels of employees. • Knowing and supporting the agency mission statement. • Participating in scheduled team meetings. • Attending and participating on Agency committees as requested. • The physical care of the facilities and agency equipment. • Working as a member of a team including, being supportive and friendly to co-workers, keeping personal problems away from work, splitting duties equally amongst co-workers, assisting co-workers when requested and welcoming new employees giving then extra support and encouragement. • Ensuring that files are organized and up-to-date. • Making copies of documents as needed. • Maintain safety and security of the premises. • Reporting to work in a timely manner when scheduled. • Attending and completing scheduled required annual training. • Completing projects assigned in an efficient and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Consulting with software and hardware vendors and other establishment workers to solve problems impeding network access. • Meeting with IT directors to determine quality of service and identify needs. • Design, implement, support, and manage the health system’s network and firewall infrastructure. • Management of the TCP/IP resources. • Provide network support to affiliate IT department staff. • Ensure all network equipment and security settings are maintained as specified by Policy. • Monitor and report on network activity. • Maintain backups of all equipment as defined by Policy. • Maintain BCP Plans on all equipment as defined by Policy. • Create and maintain internal procedures for the deployment and support of the health system’s network equipment. • Create and maintain documentation on solutions to known issues for technical staff. • Participating in strategic planning related to the organizations information technology infrastructure. • Managing related projects and adhering to budget constraints. • Coordinate with vendors to identify solutions and resolve issues in timely manner. • Managing help desk tickets and documenting resolutions in tickets as per Policy. • Maintain health system assets as prescribed by Policy. • Manage health system asset lifecycles. • Performing IT compliance audits to ensure IT directors are adhering to IT Policies. • Assisting with the affiliate IT support and supervising 1 helpdesk staff.

AGENCY EXPECTATIONS: Employees are expected to: 1. Preserve the positive public image of the agency and its employees. 2. Maintain a confidential attitude in regards information pertaining to the individuals we serve. 7. Maintain high clinical quality and a safe environment within the Agency.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position directly supervises assigned employees.
PHYSICAL/HEALTH ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS: This position is required to have a pre-employment physical.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires an active driver’s license and a DMV check that is clear. Position may require travel in the communities served or state of Pennsylvania for position requirements 25-35% of the time.
