Field Service Engineer

Position Summary: Do you have a passion for technology and exceptional customer service with a desire to travel frequently throughout the United States? If so, you may be the Field Service Engineer we are looking for. The primary purpose of this exempt position is to serve as a technical expert on laser products with an elevated level of application understanding under the supervision of the Service Manager. The role is considered entry-level, but more experienced candidates will be considered accordingly. What you will do: • Diagnose, repair, and test laser marking systems. • Educate customers on the technologies offered and how to best integrate engineered marking solutions into the manufacturing processes. • Provide customers with onsite installation and support. • Conduct onsite product demonstrations, sales presentations, and engineering assessments to determine the best solutions for the manufacturer. • Communicate with internal teams and customers via phone and email. • Support Inside Sales Team to maintain demo laser systems. • Perform other duties as needed.
To be successful, you will need the following education and additional experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering, physical engineering, or physics; Or an associate degree with a minimum of four (4) years of experience. • Willingness to participate in safety training and/or certifications provided by the Company or customers. • Valid driver’s license, as you will be required to travel on a regular basis (70% to 90%). • Moderate computer and software knowledge. • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office. • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and/or CRM is preferred. • Sandler Sales training experience is strongly preferred. • Strong decision-making abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Fluency in Spanish a plus, but not required.

Workdays and Shifts: Position works Monday – Friday, daylight hours (8AM-5PM), and additional time as needed to complete work. Some weekends may be required due to customer needs.
