Field Technician / IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a customer service oriented, friendly, hardworking, and experienced Field Technician / IT Support Specialist to join our team in growing the business and supporting our customers. The Field Technician / IT Support Specialist partners with our clients to support their IT infrastructure and provide timely support and troubleshooting of their technology and IT systems. This position entails remote IT support and onsite IT support for our customers. This is a hybrid role where you will work remotely from home when doing remote support and working onsite at customer locations as needed.
Skills: • Minimum 5 years’ experience • Proficiency in all of the systems noted on the job description that we sent previously • We are not interested in anyone that has experience with Level 1 helpdesk support. We’d be looking for someone with Level 2 or Level 3 experience (this is for the candidates that may have MSP experience) • Ability to be a consultant to our clients. • A proactive candidate that has shown that he has experience reaching out to customers, scheduling his own appointments (we’ll let the new hire know which customers are expecting a call and what work needs to be done). • Someone who can keep themselves motivated in an environment where no one is watching. • A vehicle.

Required Qualifications: • Impeccable customer service skills. • Present a professional demeanor and look. • Excellent verbal and written communications. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • The ability to work unsupervised supporting customers on-site and remote. • The ability to work on a variety of systems and setups onsite and remote. • The ability to accurately document billable time spent and detail work performed in a time billing environment. • Strong knowledge of: – Windows Desktop OS – Windows Server OS – Active Directory configuration and management – File Share Permissions and Security Groups – Microsoft 365/Office 365 – Exchange – DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP – Wired and Wireless Networking – Security Appliances – Switches and Routers – Printers – Virus/Malware removal – Backup and Disaster Recovery best practices – Hardware and Software Installation, configuration and troubleshooting. • 5 or more years of experience supporting all aspects of an organization’s Information Technology environment. • Apply industry knowledge and best practices in the formation and execution of client technology plans. • Associates Degree or relevant work experience. • Reliable vehicle with insurance. • Mileage reimbursement. • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • Successful candidate MUST pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications: • IT Certifications are a plus. • 4 year degree in a technical discipline is a plus.
