Infrastructure Manager

JOB OVERVIEW: Acts as a liaison between the development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements. Evaluates new developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems. Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Accountable for a high-performing computing and storage infrastructure companywide. This includes, but is not limited to, planning and management of storage and server operations and production support, application and server virtualization platforms, and business continuity for infrastructure under management • Conduct strategic and tactical level planning in partnership with peers in IT to develop technical roadmap, and ensure delivery of supportable technology solutions that meet business needs. • Manage the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies including cloud, collaboration platforms, high performance computing, continuous delivery and the latest collaboration technologies. • Establish, maintain and execute operations procedures that leverage efficiencies and best practices. • Drive the delivery of major technology and infrastructure projects and service management improvements, ensuring that quality, productivity, and ROI goals are achieved. • Lead and mentor IT staff, along with third-party contractors as appropriate. • Lead employee selection, training, guidance, performance management and development to ensure department objectives, goals and performance standards for the department are met.

QUALIFICATIONS: • High school Diploma/GED or equivalent 6+ years’ of professional IT experience • 2 years managing technical teams • In depth ITIL Knowledge • Strong practical experience in enterprise level IT environments • Experience in the design, implementation and support of infrastructure plans for complex organizations to include enterprise-level server technology, system applications, storage solutions, network and telecommunications architecture, and disaster/recovery procedures. • Broad and deep knowledge of computing infrastructure (hardware, software, network) project management, IT operations and disaster response/recovery operations. • Proven experience in overseeing the direction and implementation of IT solutions • Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management • Strong knowledge of change control best practices and methodologies • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc. • Strong knowledge of PowerShell and coding standards • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives • Experienced hybrid cloud architecture and security measure across multi cloud and physician datacenter • In-Depth knowledge of hosting SaaS environment.

INTERACTION: This role will work closely with key departmental and project stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization is a key priority in this role.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role may manage staff and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Corporate policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include: interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
