Inside Sales Rep

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for fostering growth within existing accounts, working with Business Development Representatives and outbound reach-out efforts. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for drafting and negotiating renewals and new commercial agreements with customers. The Inside Sales Representative will coordinate with a technical account manager to ensure fulfillment and ongoing customer success. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for initial calls with customers, defining unique strategies for complex sales, and delivering pitches, presentations, and software demonstrations using web conferencing tools. The Inside Sales/Business Development Representative will have a role in identifying opportunities and making recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of i sales, marketing, and business operations processes.

The successful candidate must be creative, flexible, and comfortable of operating independently. They must have the skill and intellect to engage constructively with other highly driven employees in multiple functions to further the company’s interests.


  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound calls, and emails
  • Understand customer needs and requirements
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand a database of accounts and opportunities
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Demonstrable sales experience, success with technology products highly valued
  • Proven record of professional success
  • Start-up company experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales automation tools is an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Able to operate in a high growth environment where policies, procedures and established practice are rapidly evolving.
