IS Infrastructure Manager

Summary:   Responsible for maintaining network efficiency, ensuring the efficient integration of the enterprise system including computers, network, cloud, and software, identifying enterprise-wide system solutions, and providing backup expertise to Information Services personnel. Manages all network, cloud-based, and standard server and client software. Responsible for driving exceptional customer support services and results. Supervises Infrastructure and Support Team personnel.

Essential Duties:  Time Job Duties:  20% In conjunction with the Director of Information Services, determine the annual Infrastructure project plan and execute it along with ensuring it is aligned with the technology strategic plan along with developing annual technology budgets. Actively manage technology budgets to ensure sound fiscal management and proper use of funds. 15% Lead and manage the planning and implementation of technology infrastructure, support, and service projects utilizing best practices. 15% Manage the infrastructure and support operations based on best practices such as COBIT and ITIL. Implement system and application security measures. Enforce organizational policies to maintain quality standards through regular system auditing. 10% Manage technology vendor relations and contracts. 10% Responsible for the Enterprise’s technology asset management and inventory including purchasing, licensing, documentation and installations. Manages all aspects of corporate domain names and web security certificates. 10% Serves as escalated resource for support staff. 10% Develop and administer information technology disaster recovery and business continuity strategy in conjunction with the Data and Chief Security Officer. 10% Manage all technology aspects for national conferences and other live events including strategic planning, budgeting, and on-site supervision and vendor liaising.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:  Assists Director of Information Services, IS teams and other departments with special projects including attending meetings, evaluating new technologies, and providing written and oral recommendations to implement new technologies.

Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor’s degree required and five years’ experience administering enterprise level systems required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a management or supervision role preferred. Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to executive management, staff, public groups and/or boards of directors.  Mathematical Skills:  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Proficient with Storage Area Networks, Active Directory, protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, IIS, SMTP, Office 365 including Exchange and Sharepoint Online and network infrastructure and security concepts, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Microsoft and VMWare Technical Certifications recommended. AWS, Azure, or PMP Certifications preferred.  Other Skills and Abilities:  Ability to analyze processes and simplify processes through automation; ability to maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of software and hardware to enable to best serve its internal and external customers; and use and management of technology.
