IT Analyst

The Information Technology team maintains the technology infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, attentive to detail, resourceful in getting things done, and productive working independently and collaboratively. Specifically, the IT Analyst will assist the team in: • Maintaining our day-to-day technology infrastructure • Interacting with and monitoring the activities of external, third-party Information Technology vendors • Governing permissions and access to our applications and systems • Troubleshooting issues that may arise with networking, servers, and employee computers • Documenting and communicating issues found in daily activities as well as maintaining documentation of current systems state • Writing scripts that aid in the automation of back-end server maintenance • Configuring new office technology equipment and maintaining our existing assets • Ensuring the security and viability of our systems and data Who You Are You are someone who loves new challenges and has a passion for getting things done. You also meet most (if not more) of the following criteria: • 1+ years of information technology experience • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology and Computer Science or Networking and Security • Proficient with the use and administration of Mac and Windows operating systems • Highly motivated to learn new skills and improve current processes • Demonstrated ability to uncover, diagnose, and resolve issues and anomalies among a variety of technology platforms • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a group with general direction • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Comfortable participating in an Agile team environment; capable of working with limited direction while assertively enjoying collaboration to further the success of the team and organization • Self-motivated to learn and innovate; adept at understanding, articulating, and incorporating new technologies and corresponding value propositions Bonus Points • Prior experience in a Help Desk Analyst role • Technical familiarity with the administration of Linux systems, networking, and security • Familiar with common scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PHP, and Linux shell • Experience working with Amazon Web Services technologies
