IT Development Team Leader

Leads software development staff and is responsible for technical architecture, mentoring, and project leadership by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: • Works with development staff to create and maintain a development standards and procedures document. • Directly supervises a group of Developers. • Acts as liaison between developers and other departments throughout the company. • Establishes and monitors adherence to adequate project life cycle methodologies. • Gathers feedback from design and technical staff and other sources on development needs. • Assist in the development of strategic short and long term projects and manages multiple development initiatives. • Assists in defining scope of software development efforts. • Conceptualizes long-term needs of applications, & plans and manages related projects. • Identifies milestones to be completed at various stages of project completion. • Identifies resources and technologies to meet project plan milestones. • Recommends project completion dates based on project requirements and available resources. • Monitors and reports project status of interim milestones for development projects. • Meets with project stakeholders on specifics of projects and deadlines. • Works closely with graphic artists, writers, and developers in the design and usability of various systems. • Works with Development Manager to prioritize projects essential to meeting established objectives of the organization • Assists in identifying training needs and identifies opportunities too cross-train and cross-utilize members of the IT development and design staff.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) from four-year college or university (preferred) or equivalent experience. • 8 or more years related experience and/or training • 6 or more years of systems analysis experience in an interactive environment; and 6 or more years’ experience in designing and developing in a team environment.
Additional Information: Remote job but must live in one of these states: Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee, or Florida • Will be supervising 2 developers to start but that number will grow within the 1st year • This is a hands-on leadership position and is expected to code. Must have professional experience with C#, Web API / MVC as well as database development best practices. • Stability matters. Someone bouncing from job to job will be seen a red flag.
