JDE Application Analyst
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
The position, JDE Application Analyst, is designed to support a specific business area (Finance, Operations, etc.) and the related IT business applications used to support the key business processes in that area. The position relies on business and functional knowledge to enable the application technology to optimize the business processes. This position is engaged in on-going production maintenance, project support and enhancements involving all stages of application life cycle development and related inbound and outbound integrations. The JDE Analyst is expected to act as a liaison with business customers, possessing both functional and technical skills and knowledge. Interaction and communication with the end-user community and other IT groups/Vendors is a key function in production support activities as well as being an application lead in support of projects and enhancements.
Role and Responsibilities: • Support day-to-day operations, projects, enhancements, and upgrades. • Business and system support of relevant business application for their designated business area • Business process analysis and design. • Configuration of IT business applications to meet business requirements. • Collaborate internally with all IT groups (DBA, Infrastructure, Integration, BI, and other Applications) to maximize the efficiency and accuracy of integrations and application environments. • Gather business requirements, create functional specifications, create and manage test plans. • Work in conjunction with 3rd party support vendors/personnel. • Demonstrate a willingness to expand knowledge and capabilities in support of the business area. • Accountable to deliver on production support SLA’s • Responsible for issue resolution and root cause analysis. Assist in developing permanent solutions to persistent application or integration issues/problems. • Maintain Help Desk tickets using JIRA. • Effectively interact with the end users to understand the nature and significance of application issues, conveying solutions, and monitoring the execution and results of user-acceptance testing (UAT). • Adhere to Change Control policies and procedures. • While not expected to be the norm, off-hours support may be needed to address issues affecting business operations. • Collaborate with PMO on project priorities and project execution.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related IT/business field OR equivalent experience • 5+ years’ experience supporting key business applications (JDE, WMS, UKG, etc.) • 5+ years’ experience supporting JDE Financial modules (A/P, A/R, G/L) • Understanding and hands on support and development of E1 modules: General Accounting, AR, AP, Inventory Management, Procurement, Sales Order management, etc. • Deep understanding of how JDE supports business processes across modules. • Extensive experience configuring the JDE EnterpriseOne 9.2 environment to meet business requirements. • Experience with other financial applications (Bottomline TAP, Symbeo, Esker) • Broad understanding and hands on support, development, and configuration of IT business applications. • Deep understanding of how application technology supports business processes across modules. • Proven ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. • Demonstrated business process mapping skills. • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. • Strong data analysis, process analysis, design, and testing skills. • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills. • Ability to solve complex problems independently and to seek out and generate innovative solutions. • Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams on overlapping projects.
Preferred Skills: • Hands on experience administering relevant supported business applications. • Business application project experience • Knowledge and experience with EDI.
