Lead Oracle EBS Business Analyst

The Lead Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business counterparts to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. The Lead Business Analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes the technology demand among the business community.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with executive and senior leaders to create and maintain an operating plan to achieve the strategic vision and operating platform that defines the people, processes, tools, and technology
  • Partners with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements
  • Analyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications
  • Partners with business and technology partners to prioritize IT Projects and enhancements
  • Partners with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing
  • Documents user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures
  • Coordinates the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, Business Administration or a related field
  • Five or more years of functional experience in analyzing and supporting Oracle Apps, Order Management, Order to Case Flow and Sales and CRM business functions
  • Five or more years of experience implementing functional solutions within the Order Management, Advanced Pricing, and Customer Master modules, Oracle Inventory and Reservations experience, Oracle Shipping Execution, of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)-R12
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications
  • Knowledge of programing languages and database tools
  • Able to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements
  • Capable of leading process improvement initiatives and using tools like Six sigma to solve problems
  • Knowledge of quoting and order processing concepts along with interface to manufacturing and receivables
  • Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
  • Demonstrated experience in working with global teams and supporting global business functions
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in Oracle EBS instance
  • Ability to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to identify course of resolutions
  • Strong understanding of system design and system integrations.
  • In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
