Maximo Specialist

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

Responsible for participation on project teams, systems analysis, configuration, integration, and enhancement activities, as well as related maintenance and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in project planning sessions with clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze requirements.
  • Working with project teams to define and design scope for each project.
  • Making recommendations for buy vs. build decisions.
  • Providing design recommendations, developing and integrating programs per written specifications. Occasionally responsible for writing minimally complex specifications.
  • Translating business and technical requirements into application modules. Utilizing multiple programming languages and software technologies.
  • Preparing and presenting status updates for various projects.
  • Making modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications and industry standards.
  • Testing and implementing application modules from multiple systems they have developed or modified, ensuring application meets needs of client and business.
  • Providing ongoing maintenance of applications or tools Handling Tier II support issues (tickets) within area of expertise.
  • Participate in the On-Call Rotation

Education & Experience:

  • Roles at this level require industry specific experience. Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. With 5+ years of relevant experience. Certifications are often desired
  • As a Maximo Consultant in Production support, installation, administration, customization, Integration and configuration of IBM Maximo V7.x.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in Maximo Work Management, Supply Chain Management/Procurement Management, Maximo Materials Management/Inventory, Maximo Contract Management, Maximo IT Service Management.
  • Design and development of custom workflows in Maximo 6.x/7.x
  • Data mapping and migration for new data to be added to Maximo using Maximo Enterprise Adaptor (MEA) or Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Configuring and administering WebSphere Maximo server and compiling and deploying Maximo ear files in the application server MAXIMO release 7.5.X
  • End-to-end implementation, support and up gradation knowledge of IBM Maximo 7.x (EAM, TSRM, TAMIT & CD/SCCD).
  • Hands-on Maximo Mobile deployment, customization and support.
  • Customizing Maximo Everyplace for handheld devices.
  • Maximo modules Configuration – Application Designer, Database Configuration, Workflow Designer, Domains, Escalations; Administration, Security, Resources, Integration, Assets, Financial, Contracts, Inventory, Planning, Purchasing, Service Desk, Communication Templates, Change, RFC, Release, Offerings, Catalog Requests, Service Requests, Configuration Items.
  • Experience in meeting with end users of Maximo, gathering requirements and setting up functional environments for use of its applications.
  • Experience in creating/troubleshooting Workflows, PMs, and Work Assignments within Maximo.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in Maximo Work Management, Supply Chain Management/Procurement Management, Maximo Materials Management/Inventory, Maximo Contract Management, Maximo IT Service Management.
  • Preferred: Professional certifications.
