Network Administrator
Location: Pittsburgh
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
The purpose of this position is to fulfill both the emerging network technology needs and developing systems support needs within our Mobile Unit Division, while also providing support to our Systems Integration facility as a specialized resource.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Provide 24/7 technical support for our broadcast network systems throughout the mobile fleet. • Ensure systems are acceptably stable and responsive to field engineering staff. • Develop and implement a standard network infrastructure across the company fleet. • Assist the Network team to improve advanced networks, help install and set up truck systems. • Provide overall television systems support as it relates to maintenance projects within the Mobile Units division. • Maintain proper documentation of all network systems. • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: • Technical or Associates degree in the information technology field desired, however a combination of education and experience will be considered. • Prior experience in the broadcast television industry is a plus but not a requirement. • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills. • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills. • Collaborate with managers, engineers, and clients on projects and ideas to ensure the consistency and high availability of the network infrastructure. • Must be willing and able to travel, as necessary. • Mac and Windows proficient. • Network management and monitoring experience a plus. • Technical support background. • Enterprise/Carrier-class router and switches including Cisco and Arista is required. • Working knowledge and experience leveraging multiple network protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. • Working knowledge with Cradlepoint, Palo Alto and IPSec VPN. • Understanding of AWS Cloud including the VPC platform and Site to Site VPN. • Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL’s, QoS, VLAN’s and Wireless Access Points and Controllers.
