Network Engineer / Systems Administrator

We have openings for two Network Engineers/System Administrators at our Corporate office based in Pittsburgh. This position will be responsible for implementing and delivering IT functional and service requirements as well as resolving critical network and infrastructure-related issues that impact operations, and responsible for the administration and maintenance of the communications infrastructure, applications, and services that support the business units.

Major Responsibilities: • Specify, maintain, configure, install and troubleshoot server hardware and software (on premise and cloud-based.) • Specify, maintain, configure, install and troubleshoot network hardware and software. • Interface with telecommunications providers, cloud service providers and outside expert resources. • Configure and administer enterprise applications and network services to meet user needs. • Monitor and document network/server/application health, utilization, and security and take preemptive measures to minimize interruptions. • Investigate, repair, and document reported network, application and hardware issues. • Proactively communicate the status, plan(s) of action and resolution(s) of issues. • Document network, server and application procedures, quirks, caveats, etc. • Define system requirements by conferring with users and studying business processes and functions. • Develop and maintain procedures for consistent, repeatable user support and network administration. • Evaluate new technologies and platforms to determine whether their applicability aligns with the business units’ needs. • Track all projects and work requests in the enterprise service management system. • Submit weekly written reports on project progress. • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Qualifications include: • A bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or related field. • 3-5 years’ experience in a technical position with responsibilities for support of Windows workstations, basic office software applications, voice and data networks, and Microsoft 365 applications is required. • 3-5 years’ experience as a network administrator in a multi-site Active Directory environment is preferred.
