Network Systems Analyst
Job Type: Full Time / Permanent
As the Network Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm’s servers, cloud infrastructure and network environment. This role will work closely with senior staff to monitor and securely configure systems, assist with projects, and manage vendors. This position will provide tier 3 support to the Internal Computer Support (ICS) helpdesk and works closely with ICS staff on system and technical issues. This role reports to the Infrastructure Security Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Configure and monitor networks and servers, backups, and cloud infrastructure • Research and resolve daily alerts and issues with network systems, backups, and cloud infrastructure • Configure, maintain, and monitor Microsoft Windows server operating systems and VMware in a network environment • Lead and/or assist with network and system implementations, upgrades and maintenance • Administration of telecommunication systems including VOIP and Office 365 • Assist with management of network environment including switchers, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and all other network communication devices • Implement network and server security best practices and policies • Administration of Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365 (including Exchange Online), VDI, Azure and other cloud offerings • Troubleshoot various computer hardware and software issues • Create documentation, training materials, and videos • Research latest technology enhancements and develop recommendations to management.
REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field is required • Minimum one year of experience in systems and/or network administration is required • VMWare, Office 365, Azure • Strong systems/servers and networking background preferred • Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and related hardware is preferred.
PREFERRED: • Technical certifications such as Network+ are preferred
OTHER: • Ability to learn new technology and troubleshoot technical issues is required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects • Ability to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions.
