Product Marketing Specialist

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

Summary:  The Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for marketing activities for our software products, while working remotely from their home. Working in conjunction with other Product Marketing Specialists, Product Managers and the broader Marketing team, the Product Marketing Specialist will help craft the messaging and positioning as well as conceiving and developing innovative marketing programs that drive demand for the software products that are assigned to them.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in developing positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop sales tools that support the selling process of our products • Product launch – work closely with the Product Marketing Manager and Product Managers to plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan • Market intelligence – become an expert on our customers and competitors • Provide competitive benefits and main marketing message to be used for online marketing activities • Review marketing metrics regularly, set goals for the product, monitor, and constantly update goals • Demand generation – provide consultation in developing the strategy, and work with the marketing team to manage the marketing programs that drive demand for our products • Other duties as assigned in support of the organization

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Familiar with product marketing principles • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, public speaking experience a plus • Excellent project management skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership ability to interact with and influence staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties • Ability to analyze complex market data, draw intelligent conclusions, make strategic recommendations, and take action • Ability and willingness to travel as needed • Possess a high standard of ethical conduct

Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in software development, business, marketing, or equivalent experience • Minimum of 2 years of product marketing experience in the software industry
