Production Manager

Location: Weirton, WV

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

She/he is leading production team to reach team targets in a continuous improvement environment.

She/he is the shop floor employee’s leader: she/he can manage different production processes (machining, mechanical assembling, pressure tests) and collaborates with Supply Chain Manager and Quality Manager to ensure material availability and proper standard quality to satisfy customer expectations.

Shift works if the production required it.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for production planning and progress, delivery and lines productivity (meaning the number of good pieces in the standard available production time).
  • Responsible of operators training regarding production stations covered by job instructions. Responsible of Line Leaders growth path.
  • Responsible for production lines STOW respect and updating. ‘
  • Responsible for 5S of the managed production area.
  • Responsible of STOM/L board updating.
  • Responsible for operator’s job rotation and skill matrix updating.
  • She/he organizes team to reach daily production target.
  • She/he reacts promptly in case of missing parts or unbalanced working activities, to keep saturated the operators, She/he monitors the hourly production productivity versus the given targets and has a clear status of the line situation. She/he ensures defects repairing through line leaders and support them in quick POCA cycle to solve issues.
  • She/he creates/verifies/updates the standards {STDW, Job Instructions, 55 cleaning STD)
  • She/he guarantees that all the quality controls in charge of Line Leaders are performed during production process as per Quality Manager indication; she/he is the back up for this activity.
  • She/he is involved in the improvement projects related to process/quality. She/he coordinates the 55 activities/target in his area.
  • She/he takes care about the operator’s behavior to ensure our value adherence and respect.
  • She/he is an example in STOW respect by following his weekly STOW.

Education & Experience:

  • Studying degree: High School/ bachelor’s degree
  • Past experiences in the same role 2-5 years of experience in the same role is a preferable strength
