Production Support Developer

SUMMARY: This individual will be assisting with production support using troubleshooting skills to solve everyday issues. They will work closely with the IT staff and business owners diagnosing, researching, troubleshooting, and resolving issues as they come in. They will be expected to understand development lifecycle and be required to test, debug, and troubleshoot code. The ideal candidate will also be able to design, develop, and implement new solutions through code to solve both issues and reoccurring needs.

FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES: • Support the business using troubleshooting skills to solve day to day issues. • Effectively prioritize tickets and communicate with the business using ServiceNow. • Use SSMS to diagnose, develop and resolve data related issues impacting production. • Maintain new and existing applications by troubleshooting bugs, implementing fixes, developing enhancements, and providing technical support for end-user. • Communicates effectively and promotes information sharing between teams and departments. • Collaborates with peers to propose system solutions. • Knows when to communicate system issues and progress. • Some design and documentation work. • Adheres to department procedures and policies, including coding standards, change control and testing processes. • Other compatible duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • Experience with MS SQL (2008R2 and above) required. • Experience building SQL Server tables, views, and stored procedures required. • Experience with C# and VB with .NET Framework 3.5 and up required. • Experience with Object Oriented principles and programming required. • Experience with Visual Studio 2013 through 2022 as well as source control management using Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Azure DevOps. • Experience with Microsoft WCF and WPF a plus. • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus. • Understanding of and experience with design patterns a plus. • Demonstrated ability to analyze, define, research, resolve, and communicate problems and problems resolution. • Ability to handle multiple tasks, and to prioritize tasks, in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work well with other team members. • Attention to detail and ability to focus on task-at-hand. • Ability to interact and communicate with both technical and non-technical users.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • 4-year degree in information systems, computer science or related field. • 3+ years experience in application development or programming on enterprise systems. • 3+ years experience working with SQL Server • Knowledge of and experience with order entry and production scheduling systems in a wholesale and light manufacturing environment a plus.
