Project Management Director

Location: Saxonburg, PA

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

We are looking for a talented Project Management Director to join our growing team! This position has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors and ensuring project team milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets on projects up to $20M in value.

Job Responsibilities: • Ensures Project Managers are accountable for managing projects within clearly defined budgets and schedules • Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables to support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders • Develops full-scale project plans and associated communications documents • Communicates with project stakeholders on an on-going basis • Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals • Assesses and determines need for additional staff or consultants and make appropriate staffing adjustments during project cycle • Sets and manages project expectations with applicable stakeholders • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within project team • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path • Tracks project team milestones and deliverables • Is fully responsible for continued development of the internal project management process • Leads the PM team and develops talent • Conducts quarterly performance reviews • Assists proposal team with RFP responses • Collaborates with Engineering during development / design phase of projects • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Strong leadership, communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to build strong business relationships with customers and other functional areas to best support business objectives

Education/Experience Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field • 7 or more years of experience in business and project management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and construction methods • 3 or more years of experience directing work, with a team, in a large-scale project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
