Project Manager of M&A

Job Description: seeking a Project Manager who will lead and guide Merger and Acquisition activity. The ideal candidate will have M&A experience as a Project Manager in a healthcare company (ideally home health and/or hospice). Not only will this position project manage the diligence and closing activities, as well as project manage the integration of the acquired business including the people, processes, and technology. The success of the project manager will require extensive collaboration with key stakeholders across Company’s team and Seller. The right candidate will place the utmost importance on service and must possess strong business acumen, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive level stakeholders & business partners. You must possess a get it done positive attitude, with the ability to switch priorities and remain highly organized in a multifaceted environment.
Responsibilities • Manage cross-functional project teams, with a key focus on coordinating transaction related due diligence, closing and integration activities • Help prioritize concurrent M&A activities and workstreams through to successful completion • Effectively plan and facilitate meetings to reach conclusions and consensus • Develop project plans to track activity, timelines, obstacles, and dependencies • Foster collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and project team members • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute an effective post-close business integration transition plan, per transaction • Develop and enhance playbooks and standards for future M&A activities • Critically think and effectively plan in a fast-paced environment • Create communication plans and communication artifacts to effectively communicate status and results
Desired Experience • 5 plus years relevant work experience; home health & hospice industry experience highly preferred • 2-3 years’ experience in diligence coordination and post-M&A integration experience a plus • PMP Certification a plus (not required) • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams in a high paced environment • Solid track record executing at a high level as an individual contributor and critical thinker • Experience organizing, planning, and managing high-priority projects from concept through implementation, specifically around M&A • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build presentations to communicate complex topics in straightforward terms • Self-motivation, solid organizational skills, strong spreadsheet and presentation ability • A desire and comfort in working in a changing, fluid, and often ambiguous environment • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
