Project Manager / Project Engineer

Location: South Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Project lifecycle; including, but not limited to, scopes of work creation, walkthroughs, implementing hardware, end-user support, managing resources, customer communication, creation of network diagrams and other technical related items. You will work with an experienced Project staff and report directly to the CTO. You will be working for a laid back, creative, and fun office; enjoy our pool table, flat screen TVs and company trips.  We’re a strong team and we will only entertain individuals that have strong work ethic, professional appearance, sharp communication skills, and experience dealing with corporate executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects based on formal hand-off from Sales Team, as assigned by CTO
  • Work closely with team members and customers to create Scopes of Work to follow for implementation
  • Communicate effectively with customer and team members to ensure you are providing the highest level of service and satisfaction
  • Implement solutions according to provided designs and procedures
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware issues, software issues, and end user issues
  • Research issues using available information, resources, and your team
  • Document resolutions and create knowledge base articles
  • Onsite visits to install product and/or troubleshoot network issues and provide post-install support

Education & Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 3+ yrs. experience implementing IT hardware and Project Management skills
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in technical field, or combination of relevant certifications & experience
  • Extensive experience with network design and implementation is required, along with related experience with client infrastructure, including PC’s and mobile devices
  • A strong functional understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS/DDNS, VPN, VLAN, Firewalls, etc.) is mandatory
  • Sharp troubleshooting and creative thinking skills required
  • Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 deployment, migration and administrative experience desired
  • VMware vSphere implementation and administration experience desired
  • Microsoft Certification(s) a plus
  • VMware certification a plus
