Project Manager Video Specialist

Job Description: The Project Manager/Video Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of Audio/Visual, Cisco TelePresence, and Video Infrastructure projects on a Global basis. The candidate will leverage many internal and external resources, service providers and vendors to successfully complete their project portfolios. Projects can be highly complex in nature and can have multi-million dollar budgets. This person will also have to manage aggressive timelines, large budgets and ensure that all designs and services comply with Client standards.
Position Details: • Exempt Salaried position based on experience & skill level • Long term contract with possible contract extension or hire • Standard work hours: • Remote job. Must live in either Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; or Jacksonville, FL • Client Addendum will need to be followed. Copy will be provided at the time of candidates offer acceptance.
Key Responsibilities: • Must have experience doing video conference projects • Manages the end-to-end delivery strategy including the collection and translation of business and technical requirements into project plans. • Rigorously manages to ensure agreed/approved deadlines are achieved within time, cost and quality parameters. • Plans & coordinates project deliverables across multiple service providers in support of project requirements • Manages a portfolio of AV, TelePresence, and Infrastructure projects from design, build, through implementation and operational turn-over. • Project set up within the technology systems of record (Nexus/NSER, Remedy, etc.) • Provides input into development of business cases and technology estimates • Develops and manages the tasks within the overall work plan • Responsible for leading a matrix team including but not limited to internal, external, global and third party associates • Communicate project status across delivery teams, senior leaders, & cross-functional stakeholders Professional Competencies • Results oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the technology teams • Ability to recognize implementation planning opportunities to optimize cross project dependencies for greater efficiency in project delivery • Strong business, financial, project management and AV technology acumen • Proven ability to resolve project issues and mitigate project risk by negotiating solutions that meet expected results • Experience with Project Management methodology and tools such as: Enterprise project and change management (Remedy), Sharepoint, MS Project, MS Office, Nexus/NSER • Ability to adhere to Project Management frame-work • Proven ability to matrix-manage direct and cross-functional teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical Expertise: • Typically requires 10+ years of applicable experience • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Working Knowledge of the following technologies: Crestron, AMX, BiAmp, Cisco, Video, Audio, Digital Signage, Streaming Technologies
