Senior Systems Administrator

The Senior Systems Administrator will implement and maintain the computing environment and help establish and upkeep access policies in accordance with industry standards. This individual will assist employees in understanding and working with the computational assets, supporting therapy development efforts.

Responsibilities: • Support Research Operations leadership in development, administering and maintenance of networks, onsite and cloud-based infrastructure, and analytics tools that meet operational and regulatory requirements • Evaluate, test, and deploy features and related products in the Microsoft Office 365 portfolio • Manage the instances of the cloud infrastructure services and multiple cloud servers • Ensure a reliable, secured, and optimized systems environment that stores data securely with regular back up • Provide domain and technical expertise through technical mentorship and training of other peers and team members • Prepare and communicate technical and financial reports with senior management • Maintain consistent, quality documentation to meet ongoing IT and business operations requirements • Ordering hardware and software along with inventory management • Stay up-to-date on available IT solutions including all-encompassing solutions and third-party add-ons • Collaborate with external vendors to implement, test, and maintain software and IT infrastructure • Monitor systems; diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system issues • Ensure that projects and service requests are completed in a timely manner • Work with leadership to develop and maintain policy-driven access and security protocols for platforms and end-points in accordance with industry standards • Ensures adherence to data security standards required to conduct IT infrastructure management and sharing in a HIPPA compliant environment • Must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary, and work beyond 40hrs is likely to be required.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Information Systems or a related field • 5 years of experience in general IT with at least 3 years of experience in administration and supporting on-prem and cloud IT infrastructure • Hands-on experience with Microsoft cloud solutions: Azure, Azure AD, Exchange, Office 365 and Intune • Experience identifying and responding to information security incidents • Demonstrates knowledge of Windows and Mac OS • Demonstrates knowledge of networking technologies: routing and switching, firewalls and conditional access policies. • Experience with IT end user support demonstrating excellence in customer service • Experience in building, configuring, and administering virtual machines and Web Applications • Experience in building, configuring, and administering Docker/ Kubernetes and serverless technologies • Proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure and security • Certification for AWS cloud practitioner or better would be a plus • Self-motivated, flexible and must be able to work independently, as well as, within a team • Candidate is highly efficient and organized, with a demonstrated ability to adhere to and follow defined timelines, milestone, and objectives • Ideal candidate should be able to deal with uncertainty and solve problems creatively and independently with solid judgement • Title and compensation commensurate with experience
