Company info: An interactive agency with a background in digital development and design that spans two decades. They work with US and international companies to provide interactive booth solutions for major exhibitions. With a focus on brand engagement, they deliver reliable applications using the most current and innovative technology that enhances their clients’ marketing strategy. Most applications built are for live events such as trade shows or conventions. Projects are fast-paced, and most development cycles range from 2 weeks to 3 months.
Additional insight: The position requires someone who is fluent in multiple programming languages, but also willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next-generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects. Travel and ability to represent the company in a professional manner in front of clients is occasionally required.
Skills: Seeking a Sr. Web Developer that has experience with modern websites that use some form of extra CSS, JS, and HTML. They are using SASS/SCSS for CSS styling, jQuery for quicker JavaScript programming and flexibility with client customizations, Twig & Handlebars for HTML templating, and Node.js and PHP for the backend. They currently do not have a single consistent database, they’ve used Firebase, CouchDB, and MySQL.
Qualifications: • Expert in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript UI/Front-End Development with a strong experience in ES5/ES6, Angular, React, NodeJS, Electron • 8 years of software engineering or related experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field • Experience with commercial software development life cycle, utilizing appropriate design patterns, OOP, Agile methodologies • Experience with Front End build tasks such as SASS/SCSS and Gulp • Strong experience with databases such as SQL or NoSQL • Experience with managing small teams • Knowledge of scripting languages such as, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP • Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management • Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems • Excellent analytical, logical and programming skills, self-motivated, self-starter and team player • Can work with minimal supervision and help provide technical direction to junior engineers ***A portfolio of previous work is required for consideration to this position.
