Software Quality Assurance Analyst

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality software. You will work as a member of an Agile team and be responsible for working with product owners, developers, designers, and customers to build, maintain, implement, and execute the quality assurance process. You will develop and execute test plans and coordinate the testing efforts across multiple projects. Understanding the product’s purpose and the end user’s needs should fascinate you. Buggy software should make you sad and eradicating it should fulfill you. Team collaboration should excite you.

Responsibilities • Collaborate with customers and teammates to design test plans and scenarios • Develop an understanding of the client domain to inform test plans • Define and/or maintain requirements of applications • Create and document test cases for all documented requirements • Ask questions to help the team gain a deep understanding of the product and domain • Ensure high-quality applications through testing • Execute plans using manual, automated, and regression testing techniques • Perform ad-hoc testing • Perform regression testing throughout the build • Record test results in the story being tested • Record bugs discovered during testing and work with team members to resolve bugs • Routinely tests for common bugs that are not specifically listed in test plans (responsiveness, button states, input string lengths, etc.) • Serve as a key member of an Agile team • Communicate effectively with the team to resolve issues discovered during testing • Suggest product improvements based on usability • Work with the team to ensure that features are designed, coded, and tested before being considered complete • Participate in sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. • Ensure that stories and their acceptance criteria are defined

Skills and Requirements • Comfortable using modern desktop operating systems (macOS / Windows) • Comfortable using major web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE) • Experience using iOS and/or Android • Excellent written and verbal communication • High attention to detail • Organizational skills • Technical writing capability • Ability to self-manage • Strong problem-solving capability •

Ideal — Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases • Experience testing in an Agile team • Experience with automated testing tools
