Sr Application Support Analyst

SUMMARY The Sr. Application Support Analyst is an application support position responsible for maintenance, development, monitoring, and ensuring availability of the Blue Yonder IMS and WMS applications. The responsibilities include not only support of the applications but also related inbound and outbound integrations. The Analyst is expected to react and respond to tickets opened via the Helpdesk in support of the applications and in accordance with published SLAs, as well as play a role in support of larger-scale application enhancements. Interaction and communication with the end-user community as part of requirements gathering, testing, and issue resolution is also required in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES • Support day-to-day operations and implementations and upgrades of the IMS and WMS and/or any peripheral applications (ERP/JDE, C3 Dock Scheduler). • Configuration of the IMS and WMS systems to support changes in the business and/or client requirements. o Participate in testing any application configuration changes. • Collaborate internally with DBA, Infrastructure, and Integration teams to maximize the efficiency and accuracy of integrations and application environments. • Work in conjunction with 3rd party support vendors/personnel. • Assist in the testing and validation of 3rd party developed IMS and WMS solutions. • Demonstrate a willingness to steadily expand knowledge and capabilities in support of the IMS and WMS. • Responsible for issue resolution and root cause analysis. • Maintain IMS and WMS HelpDesk tickets using JIRA. • Determine root cause and assist in developing permanent solutions to persistent application or integration issues/problems. • Effectively interact with the end users of both applications to understand the nature and significance of application issues, conveying solutions, and monitoring the execution and results of user-acceptance testing (UAT). • Communicate changes, issues, and outages to end users. • Adhere to Change Control policies and procedures. • While not expected to be the norm, off-hours support may be needed to address issues affecting business operations. • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related field or 5 years experience in Information Technology • Organizational skills • Adept at problem solving • Attention to detail • Good written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • SQL experience (non-vendor specific) • Knowledge/experience with EDI • Application testing experience • Application development background • Experience using current BY enterprise applications (IMS and WMS)
