Sr UX/UI Designer

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:  As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ll be joining a small, high-impact design team where you’ll have lots of autonomy to conceive and deliver innovative features and best-in-class solutions for our users. You’ll apply the full complement of your product design skillsets from user research to pixel-perfect visual design on a wide variety of features and enhancements. You’ll design new workflows, enhance our existing solutions, and contribute to efforts that will have a direct and visible impact on our business. You’ll have a lot of autonomy and requisite responsibility but you certainly won’t go it alone! You’ll work in a tight-knit and highly collaborative environment where you’ll work closely with your direct colleagues in design, product and program management, and engineering. You’ll also engage directly with customers as well as regularly collaborate with peers in sales, customer success, account management, and senior business leadership as well.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:  Create and validate user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and hi-fidelity designs.  Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define and ship high-quality consumer-ready features.  Engage our customers, build empathy with our users, learn the industry and our product to make informed decisions about the best possible experiences and solutions.  Contribute to our design practice, process, and tools like our design system, and UX and Product roadmaps – share your ideas and see them through to making a big impact.  Present and solicit feedback on the full scope of design deliverables with customers and stakeholders as appropriate throughout a project’s life cycle – you know the right artifact or tactic to leverage at the right time to continually push initiatives forward.  Leverage analytics, customer insights, and other qualitative and quantitative sources to plan and evaluate the impact of your designs.  Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, tools, techniques, and technologies.  Work on any task and help solve problems when needed!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:  5+ years of experience shipping impactful features for web applications in a startup, agile, high-growth, or comparable environment.  A portfolio of products that you’ve launched that demonstrate your depth in researching, designing, and delivering best-in-class experiences.  Mastery of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, and the Adobe Suite (we use Figma).  Solid understanding of web technologies (like CSS3 and javascript) and design systems (Material, Fluent UI, etc) and how these are best leveraged to produce effective design ? Excellent presentation skills and attention to detail.  A high degree of creativity and problem-solving abilities.  A passion for collaboration and a positive attitude.  Experience working in an agile environment delivering software to production working with development teams.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:  Experience designing for B2B, Enterprise SaaS, and/or AI-driven applications.  A portfolio with beautiful, useful data visualizations.  Demonstrated experience with users or products in the transportation industry
