Strategic Account Manager

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract to Hire

The Strategic Account Manager develops relationships with internal stakeholders, external industry partners, and other organizations that advance our mission. Provides innovative approaches for our clinical and advocacy projects by utilizing clinical, healthcare, sales, and project management expertise. Secures funding for the company Enterprise.

Remote opportunity – This is a full-time remote (work from home) position. Occasional travel throughout the year may be required.

Responsibilities: • Cultivates professional relationships by – Presenting our products and services to industry, patient advocacy groups, managed care organizations, and institutions – Developing business opportunities with existing and potential client base – Attending networking, professional, and industry meetings • Writes quarterly strategic business plans for assigned accounts that include – Recommendations and implementation strategies for revenue growth – Rationale – Measurable outcomes • Offers product development suggestions based on market/customer insights – Leads the customer account planning cycle • Recommends new sources of non-dues revenue for the company and affiliates • Collaborates with company teams, its affiliates, and subsidiaries on proposals – Presents potential sources of funding ideas. Leadership: Manager – Individual Contributor • Develops and monitors annual budgets and corresponding business cases to ensure utilization meets strategic, operational, and budgetary goals • Facilitates departmental operations and/or organization-wide functional in support of organizational priorities • Demonstrates capacity to manage resistance to change and removes barriers for transformation and resources • Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required Skills: • Strong working knowledge of CRM software and project management tools • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects • Strong written and oral presentation skills including providing information to managers, clients, customers, and the public • Ability to write reports, business plans and correspondence, and procedure manuals • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • 5 years of sales or account management experience • Pharmaceutical or oncology healthcare experience preferred.
