Strategic Product Manager

Product Managers at lead diligence on investment opportunities in partnership with finance teams. They bridge cross-functional disciplines, balancing business, technical, and design constraints to define the future of health care. Product Managers must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environments. They must leverage deep commercial expertise and critical thinking skills to distill the complexity inherent to health care’s most confounding problems. At the same time, they must exhibit strong leadership skills to build relationships with internal and external executives, align stakeholders on vision, and thoughtfully translate problems into solutions that can take shape as disruptive businesses. Product Managers engage as a team in the innovation pipeline across healthcare verticals and throughout all stages. This includes developing theses for targeting problem spaces, evaluating solutions and companies for investment opportunities, and aligning internal resources to accelerate development and growth. Given the dynamic nature of the work, responsibilities of an individual Product Manager will flex across many engagements.

Responsibilities: • Develop hypotheses market trends, dynamics, and competitive landscape • Engaging stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to define unmet needs and value opportunity • Presenting investment and product development recommendations to executive leadership • Working with interdisciplinary teams and across functional departments, including engineering, design, marketing, and finance teams to execute strategic plans for product domain(s) • Aligning capabilities from clinical, operational, and technology teams with opportunities to accelerate product development • Leading implementation programs to demonstrate solution value and inform roadmap for commercial growth • Leading due diligence efforts into new investment opportunities • Communicating activities, statues, issues, and accomplishments to senior leadership and partners.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (Advanced degree, MBA, MS or PhD preferred) • 5+ years of professional experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Demonstrates fluency with agile/lean methods • Commercial software expertise • Understanding of health care IT industry • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities • Shows working knowledge across multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, design, and market research but also exhibits depth in a relevant discipline.
