Technical Engagement Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

This position will be responsible for engaging with internal staff and external customers to support and advocate the product line.


  • Provide accurate, thorough, and timely technical support to customers via phone, and internal ticketing system
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the product line and related business functions
  • Effectively communicating solutions, support benefits, and product value via product overviews, demonstrations, and sample applications for customers and distribution partners
  • Create content for the community (knowledgebase articles, FAQs, and blog posts)
  • Create sample projects demonstrating the functionality of products
  • Perform functional testing of products, samples, websites and documentation
  • Complete assigned tasks for internal and external projects
  • Participate in community events (code camps, trade shows, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned in support of the organization

Education & Experience: 

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • At least one year of experience in technical support or related customer service experience
  • Experience working directly with a sales team providing pre-sales support
  • Experience with Visual Studio .NET (C# and/or Visual Basic)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with other MS development technologies (ASP.NET, AJAX, ActiveX, Silverlight, WPF, Expression Blend)
  • Familiarity with SQL, Oracle or Access
  • Familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery and/or CSS
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Possess a high standard of ethical conduct
