Technical Sales Specialist

PURPOSE • To actively seek out and engage customer prospects, providing complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

MAIN DUTIES & OUTCOMES • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction • Achieve agreed sales targets and outcomes within schedule • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends • Continuously improve through feedback

REQUIREMENTS e.g. EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, EXPERIENCE etc. • Education: Degree-level preferred, or equivalent experience in the scientific market. Experience: Proven work experience as a sales representative including direct customer contact and responsibility for closing sales and/or own quota. Familiarity BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships Skills: Cold calling, able to start conversation with strangers, technical science background (eg laboratory) and/or good general knowledge of physics/chemistry/biology, good social media skills, able to sell benefits of products in face of objections and resistance, able to close deals, fluency in a second major language is a plus, Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs. Personal Qualities: Highly motivated and target driven, tenacity, resilience, mature and organized approach, able to travel.

KEY COMPETENCIES • Self-starter, able to work on own initiative. Demonstrated sales experience including cold calling and lead generation. Good interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence. Driving license and ability to drive
