Web Developer / Administrator

Location: East of Pittsburgh, PA

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent

The Web Administrator/Developer manages all external facing websites, and enterprise intranet sites. The position focuses on establishing and ensuring security to external and internal facing content, as well as the development and upkeep in internal and external facing websites, and is responsible for the auditing and reporting of incident management of websites, and data quality issues.


  • As a member of Engineering (IT and Computer Systems) staff, serve as a liaison and partner with the Marketing department to manage the overall development and administration of externally facing webpages and components, and internally facing intranet
  • Optimize website performance and search effectiveness
  • Align the use of technology to the enterprise information strategy
  • Go-to-market support for coordinating digital product marketing initiatives
  • Monitor the performance, availability and security of websites
  • Work with Marketing department to develop innovative designs to drive traffic and align with business goals
  • Author and execute QA testing of digital media, content and components prior to marketing release
  • Function as webserver level system administrator
  • Create and review Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and training materials
  • Lead intranet steering committee for strategic roadmap planning of intranet site
  • Gather and maintain requirements and feature backlogs for website and intranet enhancements and capabilities
  • Develop custom workflows and web-parts for modular site usage
  • Develop content taxonomy for easy dissemination of information
  • Collaborate with Marketing to proactively disseminate company information and execute plan for maximizing information sharing across the organization
  • Lead efforts in Business Process Automation

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, IT or other relevant field
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 2+ years of managing public facing website content deployment and security
  • 3+ years of website development
  • Programming experience in HTML, Java Script, and CSS
  • Experience using website design or content management systems such as WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Weebly, etc.
  • Experience working with Office 365 product suite, specifically SharePoint Online
  • Experience configuring and administering web servers such as Apache Tomcat or Microsoft IIS
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products?
  • Knowledge of website search optimization and performance tracking tools such as Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, marketing automation software is preferred
  • Demonstrable ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills and ability to work in both collaborative and independent work situations
  • Demonstrable exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Sound knowledge of privacy standards and regulatory requirements
  • Established portfolio that showcases ability to apply creative, out-of-the-box ideas to a variety of subject matter is preferred
